Data Permissions allow admins to manage user access to Campaign Groups and Channels on a user-specific level, independent of role-based permissions. These permissions primarily determine whether a user can view specific campaign groups and channels. Permissions for creating, editing, or deleting campaign groups and channels must still be configured within a user’s main role permissions page.
Accessing Data Permissions
To access the Campaign Groups – Channels Permissions page, navigate to the Mission Control section. Expand the User Management tab and click on the "Data Permissions" tab, where you can begin managing access at a user level.
Selecting A User
To adjust permissions for a specific user, start by selecting the department the user belongs to. Once a department is chosen, a list of users under that department will appear.
From this list, select the user you want to manage, and their current permissions will be displayed.
After selecting the user, you can either grant access to all Campaign Groups and Channels within their organization or manually configure their access.
Granting Access To All Campaign Groups & Channels
For users who require broad visibility, you can grant access to all Campaign Groups and Channels within the organization. This provides the user with unrestricted viewing access across all entities, bypassing any manually configured permissions at the campaign group or channel level.
Enabling “Give access to ALL Campaign Groups” allows the user to view all existing Campaign Groups within the organization. This setting overrides any specific permissions set at the Campaign Group level and ensures the user has unrestricted visibility.
Similarly, enabling “Give access to ALL Channels” provides the user access to all channels within the organization, overriding any channel-specific permissions. This ensures that the user can view all channels, regardless of configurations at a granular level.
While these options provide full access, they do not impact the user’s ability to edit, create, or delete entities. Those permissions must be managed within their Role settings.
Manually Configuring Access
If you do not want to provide full access, you can manually assign permissions to specific Campaign Groups and Channels. This option is only available if the “Give access to ALL” toggles are disabled.
Toggle the “Grant Access” option for each Campaign Group or Channel to enable or restrict access for the selected user. Once you save the permissions, the updates are applied immediately. The user’s access will now reflect the selected Campaign Groups and Channels.
