This guide explains how to create, edit, and delete Campaign Groups, which act as the foundation for organizing marketing initiatives. It covers setting objectives, budgets, and target audiences, linking digital channels, and managing campaigns effectively. You’ll also learn how to use features like Summary, Budget, Personas, and Performance tabs to optimize your efforts.
Campaign Groups in Grower are where your marketing activities come together. They act as containers that hold all the digital marketing channels, budgets, and efforts focused on specific products, services, or business objectives. Think of a Campaign Group as the strategic foundation for a marketing initiative, helping you align your objectives, target audience, and resources in one place.
Once your organization is set up, the next step is to create your first Campaign Group. Each group represents a focused marketing effort, allowing you to define your goals, allocate your budget, and identify your target audience. This structure ensures your campaigns are clear, organized, and tailored to drive results.
Creating Your Campaign Group
To create a Campaign Group, click the "Campaign Groups" tab in the side menu. This will take you to the Campaign Groups page, where you’ll find "+ Create" and "Create Campaign Group" buttons.
Clicking either button will open a popup where you can input the details of your new Campaign Group:
- Campaign Group Name: Enter a descriptive name for your Campaign Group to easily identify it.
- Targeted Locations: The geographical areas where your marketing efforts will be focused.
- Target Audience: The demographics of the audience you want to reach.
- Linked Digital Channels: The digital channels you’ll use for this Campaign Group.
- Average Sales Conversion Rate: The percentage of leads expected to convert into sales.
- Objectives: The goals you want this group to achieve.
In the Linked Digital Channels field on the Campaign Group creation popup, you can associate your Campaign Group with one or more digital channels. This step is critical for tracking and analyzing campaign performance across platforms.
If you already have a connection set up in the Data Connections page, you can link it by first selecting the platform, followed by choosing the account under your desired connection. This ensures that Grower has access to the specific account you wish to include in your Campaign Group.
If the required connection isn’t set up yet, you can create a new one directly from the popup. To do this, first select the platform you want to connect, then click on the "Connect [Platform] Account" button. This will open an external page where you’ll need to log in and authenticate Grower’s access to that platform. Once completed, the new connection will be automatically added to the Data Connections page, making it available for use in the future.
For detailed instructions on creating connections, refer to the Data Connections Guide.
The second page of the popup will prompt you to complete the following fields:
- Products/Services Focus: The products or services that this Campaign Group will promote. Simply type the name of each product or service and press Enter to add them to the list.
- Choose Your Revenue Model: The payment model that aligns with your product offerings. This helps Grower optimize the tracking and analysis of your campaigns’ financial performance.
Once all the fields are filled and the channels are linked, your Campaign Group will be ready to go!
Managing Your Campaign Groups
The Campaign Groups List View is a centralized page where you can see all your Campaign Groups in one place. It provides an overview of each group’s performance, including metrics like Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), budget utilization, and overall campaign health.
From this page, you can quickly access key actions like editing a Campaign Group or creating a new one. Clicking on a group’s name or summary icon will take you to a detailed page where you can explore metrics, objectives, and performance insights for that specific group.
This centralized view helps you monitor, plan, and adjust your marketing strategies with ease, keeping all your efforts aligned with your business goals.
Editing Your Campaign Group
To edit a Campaign Group, you have two options depending on where you are in the platform. Both start by navigating to the "Campaign Groups" tab.
The first option allows you to edit directly from the Campaign Group page. Here, you’ll see a list of all your Campaign Groups. Locate the one you wish to modify and navigate to the Actions column.
Click the edit icon associated with the Campaign Group, which will open the editing interface. In this interface, you can update details such as the Campaign Group name, objective or targeted locations.
The second option applies if you are already within a specific Campaign Group. Inside the Campaign Group, look for the settings icon on the left of the navigation bar.
Hover over or click on it to reveal a dropdown menu. Select the "Edit Campaign Group" option, which will take you to the same editing interface. From here, you can make necessary adjustments just as you would from the Campaign Group page.
After making your desired changes, ensure you save them to reflect across the platform immediately.
Deleting A Campaign Group
Deleting a Campaign Group is equally straightforward but requires deliberate action, as it will permanently remove the Campaign Group and its associated data.
To delete a Campaign Group, navigate to the specific Campaign Group. Like the editing process, locate the settings icon on the left of the Campaign Group’s navigation bar. Hover or click over the icon and select the "Delete Campaign Group" option from the dropdown menu.
A confirmation prompt will appear to ensure you understand the implications of this action.
Once confirmed, the Campaign Group will be permanently removed from your organization.
Campaign Group Components
Each Campaign Group is organized into tabs, each focusing on specific aspects of your campaigns:
- Summary: Gain a high-level view of your Campaign Group’s overall performance.
- Budgets: Manage your Campaign Group’s financial plan, including total and recurring budgets.
- Planner: Define your marketing foundation by documenting your company overview, competitive landscape, and target customer profiles.
- Personas: Create or update buyer personas to refine your targeting.
- Performance: Dive into detailed campaign metrics and leverage AI-driven recommendations.
- Tasks: Create and manage action items tied to your Campaign Group, keeping your team aligned and on track.
- Assets: Manage your marketing materials, such as images and documents.
- Groups: Group campaigns, webpages, and personas by shared goals and objectives.
Changes to individual components, such as budgets or personas, must be saved individually to ensure they are applied correctly.
Note that only users with the appropriate permissions can edit Campaign Groups or their components. Adjustments to core elements like budgets or target audiences can significantly impact your campaigns, so approach these changes carefully and with a clear strategy.
